Hello, My Name is Tania

I have many different passions, including health and travel. I love being on or near the water in all its forms. Snowy days make me smile, ocean waves bring me to my happy place. I believe in doing all things with love to create our happiness. My boss used to call me “the smart girl” because I am always full of resources, and my friends love it when I introduce them to a new experience for the first time.

Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, I knew that there was a lot more to this world than what was within my reach and I wanted to explore more. I came to America as a 21-year-old to work as a lifeguard for the summer. I wanted to chase rainbows and dance with the clouds, leaving my family almost 5,000 miles behind. What was supposed to be a fun summer abroad, turned into a new life journey that’s been nothing less than aspiring.

Juggling between a full-time job and a college curriculum made me realize how important it is to find joy in the little things we do every day. With limited time for exercise or trying new things, I found a job that allowed me to travel, and another job paid me to exercise. I became a Certified Aquatic Fitness Professional in 2014, Aqua Zumba and Aquapole Boxing certified in 2017, and I am a RYT with Yoga Alliance with extensive training in mindfulness and meditation.

A decade of working with the Fun & Fitness Travel Club allowed me to see many beautiful places and meet some incredible people. However, after spending the last 8 years as a Financial Analyst at a major Tech company, I realized that my impact as an instructor is much greater. Applying the health principles from my training to daily life, I share my experiences in the hope that you’ll find value and learn something new in this blog.

Why I write

First off, let me just say, there’s something magical about pouring your thoughts onto a blank page. It’s like opening a window to your soul and inviting others to peek inside. But for me, writing goes beyond mere self-expression. It’s a journey of sharing, learning, and inspiring.

One of the core reasons behind my writing is my deep-rooted passion for health, fitness, and neuroscience. These topics aren’t just buzzwords for me; they’re pathways to a fulfilling life. Through my words, I aim to unravel the mysteries of longevity, offering insights and tips to help you thrive, not just survive.
