Hello, My Name is Tania

I am happy to share with you my passion for health and travel. I love being on or near the water in all its forms. Snowy days make me smile, ocean waves bring me to my happy place. I believe in doing all things with love to create our happiness. I started this blog to share helpful resources that allow you to stay active while traveling the world.

Long Story Short

Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, I always felt that there was a vast world beyond my reach, waiting to be explored. At 21, I left my family nearly 5,000 miles behind to work as a lifeguard in America for the summer. What was meant to be a fun adventure abroad turned into a transformative journey, leading me to chase rainbows and dance with the clouds in a new life filled with aspiration and discovery.

Balancing a full-time job with a demanding college curriculum, I learned the importance of finding joy in the little things. Despite limited time for exercise or travel, I pursued a career that allowed me to do both. I became a Swim Coach in 2012, a Certified Aquatic Fitness Professional in 2014, and later achieved certifications in Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Strong, Aquapole Boxing, Pilates, and other land and water-based fitness activities. Along the way, I also earned recognition as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, gaining extensive training in mindfulness and meditation.

Reflecting on my childhood, I remember the joy of figure skating and learning to ski at the age of six. These early experiences fueled my lifelong passion for movement and fitness. My commitment to staying current with my qualifications, regardless of my full-time job, taught me that my job title didn’t define me. What truly mattered was how I made others feel through my work, interactions, and intentions.

A decade of working with the Fun & Fitness Travel Club allowed me to explore beautiful places and meet incredible people. However, after spending the last eight years in corporate finance at a major tech company, I realized that my greatest impact was as an instructor. By applying health principles from my training to everyday life, I found a new purpose in sharing my experiences. I began writing to offer insights and inspiration, hoping to help others find joy and wellness in their own lives.

Why I write

First off, let me just say, there’s something magical about pouring your thoughts onto a blank page. It’s like opening a window to your soul and inviting others to peek inside. But for me, writing goes beyond mere self-expression. It’s a journey of sharing, learning, and inspiring.

One of the core reasons behind my writing is my deep-rooted passion for health, fitness, and neuroscience. These topics aren’t just buzzwords for me; they’re pathways to a fulfilling life. Through my words, I aim to unravel the mysteries of longevity, offering insights and tips to help you thrive, not just survive.

I believe that each of us holds the power to sculpt our destinies, to shape our bodies and minds in ways that promote vitality and resilience. And by sharing my knowledge in these areas, I hope to ignite that same spark within you, nudging you towards a healthier, happier existence.

But my writing isn’t solely about facts and figures. It’s about weaving narratives and painting vivid pictures that transport you to distant lands and unfamiliar cultures. As a young immigrant, I’ve traversed continents, soaked in diverse traditions, and embraced the beauty of human existence. And through my travel tales, I aim to break down barriers, fostering empathy and understanding across borders.

You see, behind every word I write lies a story – a tale of triumph over adversity, a celebration of the human spirit, a reminder that no matter where we come from, we’re all connected by our shared experiences.

So, dear reader, as you journey through these pages, I invite you to not just read but to feel – to let the emotions wash over you, to be inspired, challenged and moved. For in these stories lies the essence of what it means to be human – to strive, to dream, to write our own destinies against the backdrop of an ever-changing world.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Together, let’s explore the vast landscape of health, fitness, and the human experience. And who knows? Perhaps along the way, we’ll discover something truly extraordinary – ourselves.
